Engagement Portraits
Engagement portraits are always fun sessions, as we get to know the future bride and groom. We were excited to photograph the engagement portraits in a desert setting. The weather was unpredictable, and there was a slight chance of rain. The lighting was ever changing as the clouds moved in and out. We didn’t get any rain our during the session, but we did get some dramatic desert skies. Depending on which way we were facing would determine whether we had blue skies or dark foreboding skies. I loved both the perfect looking desert day as well as the dramatic clouds. The Antelope Valley has, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful skies. The clouds are always different. They can be fluffy, just look like they are sitting on the horizon, or almost “painted” on, almost surreal. The Joshua trees are always a great additional for impact and texture. It went from warm to cold during the session, but Heather and Michael were real troopers.
The results speak for themselves. They have some amazing images to use for their “Save the Date” cards.
